Christopher Swan

Christopher Swan has been providing legal services since 1982 and founded Swan Family Lawyers in 1996. With decades of experience, he understands that relationship breakdowns are emotionally challenging events with significant legal and personal implications. Christopher is dedicated to guiding clients through these difficult times, aiming to resolve family disputes efficiently and with care. In 2008, Christopher received formal recognition for his expertise in family law from the Law Society of South Australia. He further enhanced his skills by completing a Masters in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management with a focus on Family Law at the University of South Australia in 2009. Christopher is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator and an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, contributing his skills as a panel mediator for the South Australian Magistrates Court. His approach balances experience in courtroom litigation with collaborative dispute resolution methods. Christopher is actively involved in professional legal organisations including the Law Society of South Australia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Resolution Institute, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Outside of his professional commitments, Christopher enjoys spending quality time with his family, supporting his children’s sporting activities, gardening, cooking, and cycling.
