Louise Mallon

Louise Mallon joined Chalk & Behrendt as a Consultant in 2018, bringing with her extensive legal experience gained from her previous role as counsel at a prominent Australian commercial firm. In that capacity, Louise advised on a diverse range of complex and novel transactional and litigious matters, demonstrating a strong ability to navigate intricate legal issues with precision. Her career also includes leading the in-house legal team of a national medical defence organisation, where she provided critical advice on medico-legal issues and played a key role in managing risk and compliance. Louise’s expertise spans civil, criminal, coronial, industrial, disciplinary, and administrative law disputes, reflecting her versatile approach to legal challenges. Louise has acted for the Commonwealth in the defence of a Federal Court class action and is well-versed in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements. Her skills extend to offering strategic advice on risk management, policy development, and advocacy, assisting individual and corporate clients, governments, and statutory authorities alike. Committed to access to justice, Louise also undertakes pro bono work, including estate planning for Indigenous and disabled clients.
