Jess Smith

Jess Smith is a dedicated solicitor with a strong commitment to supporting clients through challenging personal and legal matters. Since beginning her legal career in 2014, Jess has developed experience across commercial, business, and succession law, carrying a focus on providing practical and compassionate assistance. Jess’s interest in family law stems from a genuine desire to help individuals navigate the complexities of significant life changes with empathy and understanding. Her work with deceased estates has also fuelled a passion for guiding clients in preparing thoughtful succession plans, addressing a widespread issue that over 55% of Australians do not have a Will in place. Based in Coffs Harbour, Jess balances her professional life with her role as a mother to two soccer-enthusiastic sons. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach or in the garden, always accompanied by her dog, Milo. Jess was admitted to the Western Australian Supreme Court in 2019 and holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Arts and Laws from Southern Cross University. She is an active member of the Law Societies of Western Australia and New South Wales, Women Lawyers WA, and participates in The Art of Estate Planning network.
