Gemma Rope

Gemma Rope is a Solicitor with extensive experience serving the Coffs Harbour community, where she was born and raised. Committed to her local roots, Gemma completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws through the University of New England via correspondence, laying a strong foundation for her legal career. Since beginning her journey in the legal profession in 2008, she has balanced a variety of legal roles alongside raising her family, ultimately gaining admission as a Solicitor to the New South Wales Supreme Court in 2015. As a key member of the Bryant McKinnon team, Gemma applies her diverse legal knowledge to achieve favourable outcomes for her clients, demonstrating both professional acuity and a compassionate approach inspired by her experiences as a mother of four. Living in the Orara Valley, she maintains close ties to her rural upbringing, which enriches her connection with the community she serves. Gemma’s professional credentials include admission to the High Court of Australia in 2018 and completion of a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. She is also appointed as a Justice of the Peace, reflecting her commitment to public service. Her involvement in professional organisations includes membership in the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Law Society of New South Wales, and the Family Law Pathways Network, where she engages with ongoing developments and collaborative efforts within the field.
